What is OPD?
Original Pack Dispensing (OPD) allows pharmacists to supply eligible medicines in their original manufacturer packs, even when the prescribed quantity differs slightly.
Where clinically appropriate, pharmacists can supply up to 10% more or less than the prescribed quantity, helping to reduce pack splitting and make dispensing more efficient. Some medicines, including controlled drugs, are excluded.
