Consultation Write Back is a feature of EMIS Web® PCN Hub that keeps consultation details up to date at both the practice delivering care and the patient’s registered GP practice.
When a patient is seen by another practice through the hub, their consultation is recorded where care takes place and automatically saved back into their registered GP record. Both practices have a record of the care delivered, helping colleagues make informed decisions about what happens next.
Record once, keep both records updated
A coded copy of the consultation is saved back into the patient’s registered GP record within seconds, reducing the need to manually transfer or re-enter information.
The consultation details are available to support ongoing care, even when the patient sees different teams across the PCN.
Share with care
Sharing Agreements between participating organisations enable consultation writeback. Built-in access controls help ensure consultation information is available only to authorised clinicians with an appropriate need to see it.
